Litany of Remembrance

In the saints, Christ is alive and goes before us!
In God’s holy ones, we have seen what love can do.
Let us remember God’s holy ones and be thankful.

Thanks be to God!

In Edna McAlpine, Charlie Chandler, Carol Tabor, Fred Pinkham, Muriel Renstrom, Gail Parady, Edith Chase, Arnold Renstrom and John Nelson Christ made all things new.

Thanks be to God!

In the love and support offered to our own folks recently injured or hospitalized; through the churches in thousands of cities staffing soup kitchens like our own Dover Friendly Kitchen; in the voices lifted up for justice and peace by those who pray and those who march; “now as then” God’s mighty Spirit makes for us a world of difference.

Thanks be to God!

Let us remember people from our communities, not associated with our congregation, or perhaps any congregation, who have died.
[Names may be mentioned for all to hear.]

Let us remember family members and friends, near and far, who have died.
[Names may be mentioned for all to hear.]

Let us remember those women and men who held this congregation close in their hearts, who have died.
[Names may be mentioned for all to hear.]

Let us remember members of St. John’s Church who have died:   Edna McAlpine, Charles Chandler, Carol Tabor, Frederick Pinkham, Muriel Renstrom, Gail Parady, Edith Chase, Arnold Renstrom and John Nelson.
