“Living Last Supper”, Maundy Thursday

The Living Last Supper, a live re-presentation of DaVinci’s painted, will be presented as part of the Maundy Thursday worship service on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at 7 pm in our sanctuary. The presentation will be made as in integral part of the communion service. The public is more than welcome to attend!

Sermon: “The Gift of God’s Love” by Mark Alley

Expectations sometimes lead to judgements about whether or not we’re valuable or lovable.
“But I’m not worthy of God’s love; I know what I’m really like.”
Then comes that call to repentance, to return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them.
Why? Because he will abundantly pardon.
Why are we loved?
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, my ways are not your ways, says the Lord.”
Why? Just because that’s who God is.
Knowing that we are loved by God, and receiving that love of God,
leads us to want to lift up praise and
want to be in the presence of God to offer our thanksgiving.
We are lovable. We are loved, by the grace of God.
