Youth Group
Hi!
Lots of information this week (1/28/07), so I’ll try to keep it condensed:
1. Snow Camp youth - please bring final payments and your completed forms (or come prepared to fill them out if you didn’t get them last week.)
2. Snow Camp youth - Have you watched the “Under the Sea” scene from the Little Mermaid? We need to get our parts down and organize costumes this week. Bring whatever you have this week.
3. Banner - We need a banner for Snow Camp but traditionally this banner has become a symbol for the whole group, so what if those not going to Snow Camp made it? The idea to go with the Pass the Salt theme was to have a salt shaker (perhaps with a cross on it) sprinkling out our names to signify that we are all “flavored” with Christ’s love and spreading it out over the world. I might even be able to get fabric with a globe to further the image. We’ll use lots of glue, glitter and paint, so wear old clothes.
4. As I explained last week, Jon will be with us for the last time (unless we can talk him into some guest appearances!). I hope you will all be there to express your gratitude for all the fun and faith Jon has brought to our group. He will be sorely missed.
5. Lisa is wondering if there is a girl who would like to take her place at Snow Camp since she can no longer join us. Any takers? Friends are welcome. Call me at home if you are interested.
6. I hope you all started using Good Search for your internet searches. Money raised from using this search engine will support the youth group and you only need to select St. John’s once after you download the toolbar. I’ve been using it all week!
I hope that’s it. Copies of the new schedule are on the bulletin board, which by the way got a face lift last weekend. I hope we can post pictures around the posters advertising the big events after they are over to show everyone how much fun it is to be friends in Christ! Don’t forget to sign up to come over for a meal. I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better.
Questions? Call me any time at 343-4424. I love hearing from you!
Love and Peace of Christ,
Brenda
