Souper Bowl of Caring
Every year on Super Bowl Sunday, our youth collect money at the back of the church for Souper Bowl of Caring, a nationwide effort to support food pantries and soup kitchens. The idea started when someone realized how much money could be raised if everyone watching the Super Bowl donated just $1 toward fighting hunger. Last year, a total of $6,113,371.27 was collected in the United States!
This year, our youth will be away at Snow Camp the weekend of Super Bowl, so we will be standing in the back of the church with our soup pots a week early — January 28th.
Donations will be sent to the Dover Food Pantry and the Friendly Kitchen. Thanks for your support.
Youth group members, wear your favorite NFL team wear as we greet the congregation after both services.
