Youth Group
Hi!
We’re counting down to summer with just limited opportunities left to get together as a youth group. Here’s the schedule - you won’t want to miss anything!
Sunday, June 3 - Meet in the sanctuary promptly at 4:00 where ROCYM, our youth band, will play Lifesong by Casting Crowns for us, and we are all invited to sing along. This is one of the songs for Children’s Sunday, so the more the merrier. The words are in your devotional. After that we will have a Biblical scavenger hunt. Bring your Bibles for this game of search and find. You can work alone, in pairs or in small groups to see who will find the most items named only by Bible passages. Happy Hunting!
Sunday, June 10 - The last “meeting” of the year. We’ll start with a final rehearsal of “Lifesong” and then we will take some time to review the year - both what worked and didn’t work - and talk about what we’d like to do together over the summer. We’ll end with a friendly game of whiffle ball.
Sunday, June 17 - No youth group. Happy Father’s Day! We’re giving everyone the day off, so you can give your dads a day off.
Saturday, June 23 - The Education Committee is sponsoring a chicken barbecue dinner to help with some unexpected expenses, and we are counting on some youth to help out with the evening. Whether you love cooking, serving or cleaning, we can use your help. The guests always love seeing your smiling faces!
Sunday, June 24 - The end of the year party!!! We’ll be heading to the Whitehouses for a cookout, swimming, games and (sob, sob) a final good-bye to our seniors.
It’s sure to be a great month! We leaders are holding you all in prayer as you finish up your studies, and we hope to see you all at these events.
