A Saturday Away: Retreat and Reflect
Is your New Year’s resolution to slow down, find balance, and make room for God in your life?
Join members and guests of the United Methodist Order of St. Luke for a day away to restore life’s rhythms to a holier balance. Cycles of prayer, worship and sacramental celebration form a framework that counteracts our consumer culture’s urges and re-centers life in its transformative, loving creator. From 10:00 am to 3:00 at Readfield United Methodist Church’s Torsey Church near Kents Hill School, in Readfield, Maine.
Reflection sessions led by the Rev. Thom Blackstone, OSL, Pastor of Green Street United Methodist Church in Augusta and by the Rev. Karen L. Munson (Dick & Nancy Jo Johnson’s daughter), Pastor of Readfield United Methodist Church and Chaplain at Kents Hill School. Worship leadership by the Rev. Stan Tanner, OSL. Please bring your favorite sandwich fixings for a sandwich making buffet lunch. (bread and other lunch essentials provided).
