Dear St. John’s Church Family,
There’s a special request that I have, that I wanted to get out to you as soon as I could - so that, if you could help out, you’d have it one your calendar in as timely a fashion as possible.
Barbara Murray is moving from Dover to Durham, and the schedule is such that her family is unable to help her - for the bulk of the move. The suggestion was made that the church family might help out - as we’ve done for several folks in the past. So, we’ve set this Sunday afternoon, March 30th, at 1 PM, as the “Big Move” day. If you can help out, please let me know. We’ll need trucks as well as strong backs, too!
One of the reasons for setting the moving date for Sunday was that we have a number of things on the church’s calendar for Saturday. So let me take this opportunity simply to lift those up for you now. The first is the “Garage Sale for Guys” (to which women are more than welcome!), on Saturday, from 8 AM till noon. The second event is the Public Corned Beef and Cabbage Supper, that evening from 4:30 till 6 PM.
I hope you can make it to both events on Saturday, and that we’ll get a number of folks to help Barbara on Sunday!! Once again, please let me know if you’re able to help.
