Advent Studies
There will be a menu of studies during the Advent season for the preparation of our hearts and minds as we approach Christmas. The studies will begin the week of November 17. Please watch the sign up sheet in Hartford Hall beginning on Sunday, November 2.
At least three studies (two daytime and one evening) will be based on Christmas literature originally written for children. “Out of the Mouths of Babes” will examine some of the lovely Christmas stories as we hear them speak to us as adults. Two of these studies will meet at the Wentworth Home and at Langdon Place but others who do not live in those communities are most welcome. A study of the Christmas story as recorded in the gospels is another choice for study And finally, a study based on “Unplug the Christmas Machine” will be held for busy family members or anyone who has ever said, “I’ll be glad when Christmas is over…”. This last class will meet at a time decided upon by the people who sign up.
