MLK Jr. Service Rescheduled to January 25th
Due to a snowstorm last weekend, the Martin Luther King, Jr. service for Dover had to be rescheduled. So on Sunday evening, January 25th, at 7 PM, the Interfaith Community surrounding Dover will gather for the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. service. It will take place at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 28 Cataract Avenue in Dover.
Dr. Arthur Hilson, pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church in Portsmouth, is the guest preacher for the evening. The New Hope Baptist Church Choir and the Dover High School Mixed Chorus will provide music for the service.
The offering received at the service will be distributed to several local ministries in the area, including the Dover SHARE Fund, the Dover Friendly Kitchen and the St. Joseph’s and Dover Cooperative Ministries Food Pantries.
A time of fellowship will follow the service in the fellowship hall of St. John’s.
