Come and get to know your neighbor
The next Cocheco Forum (series of discussions concerning issues relevant to the seacoast area), sponsored by the Dover Area Religious Leaders Association (DARLA), will take place on Monday, March 30th, at 7 PM, at the Dover Public Library.
The subject for this forum is “Getting to Know Your Indonesian Neighbor.”
One of the things that our congregation learned in February, as children from the Indonesian Christian Reformed Church of Dover participated in our early worship service, was about the large number of Indonesians in our area – there are about fifteen congregations locally! Most of us didn’t know that, and don’t know many of the issues that these neighbors face from day to day. This forum will help to address that issue.
Rev. Sandra Pontoh, the pastor of the Indonesian UCC in Madbury, will emcee the event. A number of the other Indonesian pastors will share, and then there will be a time of discussion.
