Trustee News

If you did not notice this week, there is a new and improved sign directing visitors to the various facilities in the church. The other side of that sign notifies attendees that St. John’s has become a smoke-free campus. The campus includes both the church buildings and grounds. Thank you, Gorham Rowell, who constructed the sign board, his daughter Heather Jean, planted the flowers surrounding it and George Lavoie for printing the sign.

Two of our parishioners have separately raised the prospect of having a community garden on the grounds of the church. This means that individuals or families who do not have their own garden can use a small plot in which to plant vegetables. This is an opportunity to help our church community, and may possibly extend to the greater community of Dover. We are seeking input from each of you. What do you see as the benefits and/or concerns of offering this undertaking?
