Youth Group News
As I write this article, I am still high from Soulfest and excited about the ideas I got there for this year’s youth group program, which kicks off on Sunday, September 20 from 4 – 6 PM. All youth in grades 6-12 and their parents are invited to join us during this time for an introduction to youth group and to our “I Will Scream for You” campaign being launched by Global Benefit of Concord, NH. I can’t wait to get started on this project and don’t want to give away too many details, but for now, let’s just say, the program is designed to empower our youth to “scream for those who have no voice”. You will definitely be hearing more about it in the upcoming months as the project takes shape.
Following the program, a light dinner will be served to celebrate the start of a new year and to welcome new members. As of press time, we are still lacking leaders and I would encourage anyone who might be even considering helping us out to come on the 20th and see what we have planned. Just call (534-7856) or e-mail me (Godcayers4uandme@yahoo.com) to let me know, so I can make sure there’s plenty of dinner for all.
It’s going to be a great year, and I can’t wait to get started. I hope you all feel the same way and will be there on the 20th to start screaming with me! In the meantime, you will be in my prayers for a joyful end to the summer and successful return to school.
