Walk the Labyrinth

What is a Labyrinth?

It is a single path with no tricks or dead ends to it. Unlike a maze in which one can get lost, the labyrinth is a unicursal path so there is one way in and the same way back out. Labyrinths have been known to the human race for over four thousand years and they can be found in almost every religious tradition around the world. They are a spiritual tool for prayer and meditation, for healing conversion and transformation. A labyrinth is a pathway that may become a mirror for our own lives and a metaphor for our own spiritual journey. It may also be a space where walking can help us touch sorrow, release joy, find balance, gain clarity, and shed guilt.

I invite you to join me on Sunday, October 4 at 3 PM to walk a labyrinth. We will meet in the church parking lot at 2:45 and carpool to its location in Barrington. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore something which could enhance your spiritual growth.

Call me at 330-1953 or email at janamari[at]localnet if you have questions.

You are sure to be blessed by this experience.
