The Women’s Book Group
The Women’s Book Group meets at 7:00 pm on the first Monday of the month, and reads some terrific books and has a very lively discussion about the books each month. Our schedule for the year is as follows. All books are paperback, and many are available from your local library.
Nov. 2, 2009 - The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
We will meet at the home of Gloria Perrine and will be facilitated by Wendy Monson Alley.
Dec. 7, 2009 - Love In The Time Of The Cholera
by Gabrielle Garcia Marquez. We will meet at the home of Judith Custer and will be facilitated by Diana Schuman.
Jan. 4, 2010 - VIDEO – How Green Was My Valley
Feb. 2, 2010 - Angels and Demons by Dan Brown
We will meet at the home of Wendy Alley, and we have no facilitator at present.
March 1, 2010 - The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahari
We will meet at the home of Saundra Smart and will be facilitated by Judith Custer.
April 5, 2010 - The Disappearance by Philip Wiley (please note, there is another book with this same title that is NOT by Philip Wiley. This book is out of print and is available used from abebooks.com) This meeting has no location at present time, and will be facilitated by Claire Bloom
May 3, 2010 - Changing Light by Nora Gallagher
We will meet at Jinny Scott’s and has no facilitator at present.
June 7, 2010 - Patron Saint of Liars by Ann Patchett. This meeting has no location as of this time, but will be facilitated by Judy Strate.
