News & Notes (special)
Dear Friends,
I need to send this special “News & Notes” to you to correct a statement I made in worship last Sunday.
When the Mission Team presented their Public Supper last year, the team was big enough that they didn’t need other “person power” from the congregation. I incorrectly assumed that would be the case again this year. . . . Wrong!
So I’m writing to say that the Mission Team would love to have a few more folks help with everything from prep (beginning at 1 PM on Saturday afternoon) through clean-up (at the conclusion of the supper, at 6 PM). If you can help, please give Patrick Murphy or Keith Launchbury a call.
They would also love to have your monetary donations to help cover expenses for the supper itself - so as little as possible of the income from supper will be taken for expenses. If you could make gifts for that purpose, they can be brought to the supper, or given to Sandy in the Church Office, or placed in the offering plate on Sunday (clearly marked “Mission Trip Supper Expenses”).
I’m sorry I gave incorrect information during announcements on Sunday!! See you at the supper!!
