First Worship Service of the New Year
Begin the new year in covenant with God: The first worship service that we share together in the new year will give us the opportunity to renew our covenant with God. On Sunday, January 3rd, we will celebrate the sacrament of communion, and will share portions of John Wesley’s “Covenant Renewal Service” – a service that Wesley recognized as an important act to ground our faith and reorient our lives toward the living Christ. This service will take place at both our 9 and 10:30 AM services, and all the members of St. John’s Church are encouraged to be present.
