News and Notes - Special Request
I’m Kaera Sawler, Ann Kippley’s daughter. As you know, my mother is battling cancer and is undergoing a grueling seven week chemo/radiation program at Dana Farber in Boston, with family members taking turns to stay with her each week. I want to thank you all for the outpouring of support we’ve received as she’s begun this journey. Many of you have asked how you can help, and I would like to make you aware of some specific areas in which Martin and Ann could definitely use assistance.
Food – Food donations are welcome. Donna Capern has offered to coordinate this on behalf of the family, so you can contact Donna if you’d like to help: 749-8975, cell 969 6619, or dcapern@pcaschool.org . Two to three meals a week would help so much, and Donna knows what Ann can eat.
Yard/garden – Gardeners who can help with weeding the vegetable and flower gardens (or teaching some willing helpers) would help a LOT. Ann cannot go out into the sun (neither can I) and Martin has a lot to do as it is. Garden care is definitely a big need.
