Katrina Mission Team Orientation
KATRINA MISSION TEAM ORIENTATION NIGHT
FRIDAY, JANUARY 27 @ 6:30 PM
Our 8th Louisiana mission trip takes place during school vacation, April 21-29. Returning to St Bernard Parish, we again partner with The St Bernard Project, www.stbernardproject.org. Regardless of one’s construction skill level, every member of our team reflects our continued commitment to the people of Greater New Orleans. We remain part of a rebuilding force that refuses to forget these strong and resilient people.
The team stays overnight in both directions at Bonsack UMC in Roanoke, VA. We stay at a church in Violet while in LA. After four days of work with the SBP, we will attend opening day at The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Fest.
All teenagers age fourteen and over and all adults in good physical condition are invited to attend this information meeting. The meeting begins in the Sanctuary, in order to view some informative videos on our new audiovisual system. We then move to Hartford Hall to complete the orientation, answer questions and enjoy some Louisiana treats prepared by the Bolian family.
