Read full post...Fourteen members of the 2010 Katrina Mission Team depart for St. Bernard Parish, LA on April 17. This is the sixth Katrina team with St. John’s representation, with six members going on their first Louisiana mission.

The family of one of Gabby Hanson’s classmates was displaced by the fire on Belknap street. They lost everything. She is 11 and wears women’s size 11 pants, medium shirts and size 7 shoes. She also has a two year old brother.

St. John’s Methodist Church invites the public to enjoy great food and good company at a delicious Turkey Dinner on Saturday, Jan.30, from 4:30-6:00 PM.
The menu includes roast turkey, stuffing, gravy, potatoes, veggies, beverages and a delicious selection of desserts at a great-value cost of $8 adults, $7 seniors and $4 for children under 12.
The garden fencing and compost bin are in place and the soil was recently tilled, thanks to Mr. Cheney. Winter rye is planted and the beds are tucked in for the season under a blanket of snow.
